Amid stiff competition, we’re delighted to announce that Amro Partners has been shortlisted for the coveted Sustainability Award at this year’s EG Awards.
During the last year we’ve taken a giant leap forward in our bid to create the most ESG-friendly residential portfolio in Europe, building a bespoke tool for reducing carbon emissions.
AMCAST collects and interrogates carbon assessment data iteratively at each relevant project stage, repeatedly identifying opportunities for improvement throughout the design, construction and operational phases of all our projects.
This approach has driven our retrofit strategy for The Rex, our flagship co-living project in Kingston, where no less than ten different options were assessed at the initial design stages to reduce embodied carbon.
The project will exceed all sustainability requirements set by the new London Plan and will be the first co-living project in the UK to achieve BREEAM Outstanding, with an emissions reduction of 68% above latest Building Regulations for regulated energy.
Meanwhile in Iberia, our PBSA projects in Madrid, Valencia, Seville and Pamplona are the only four buildings of their kind in Spain to achieve a full complement of the highest possible sustainability ratings during 2022/23, including BREEAM Outstanding, EPC ‘A’, 3* Fitwell Wellness Certification and WiredScore Platinum digital connectivity ratings.
Alongside us on the shortlist is a fine cohort of organisations who are all pushing the envelope in terms of sustainability. We look forward to joining the great and the good from across our sector at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 17th October when the winner will be announced.
