Amro shortlisted for another Sustainability Award

Showcasing excellence across the industry, the Build to Rent Awards, run by Love to Rent, celebrate the best in the business across multiple categories.

The BTR Sustainability Award recognises organisations that have invested in energy efficient, sustainable and low impact developments that consider both direct and indirect implications on the environment and customers.

During 2023, we took a leap forward in our Net Zero 2025 commitment, developing our own in-house carbon assessment tool to reduce embodied carbon at every stage of the development process – and investing in the creation of predictive machine-led learning models to cut operational emissions across our portfolio.

This approach has driven our retrofit strategy for The Rex, our flagship co-living project in Kingston, where no less than ten different options were assessed at the initial design stages to reduce embodied carbon. The project will exceed all sustainability requirements set by the new London Plan and will be the first co-living project in the UK to achieve BREEAM Outstanding with an emissions reduction of 68% above latest Building Regulations for regulated energy.
