Amro Partners co-founder and President, Ami Kotecha, is honoured to have been named ‘Visionary of the Year’ by International Hospitality Media, in recognition of her extensive thought leadership work presenting an inspiring vision for the future of the living sector.
The judges said: “Ami Kotecha is a real force – ambitious, bold and bright. With so many challenges involved in tackling the undersupply of accommodation across a range of tenures and asset classes, she is pioneering innovative and creative solutions to make a tangible difference for people and the planet.”
With expertise lying at the intersection of real estate, tech and ESG, Ami’s primary focus is on bridging the gap between technology and the real estate sector, driving innovation and digital transformation.
She strongly believes that data and technology can provide the answers to some of our most urgent challenges. Not only does it enable us to understand how to design, develop and operate our buildings sustainably, but it also helps us understand the demographics of our occupiers so we can create homes that meet their rapidly changing needs.
Ami holds multiple chair, board and advisory roles, including Chair of the UK PropTech Association, Board Member of the British Property Federation and Chair of the Cambridge University Land Society’s ESG & Sustainability Forum. She engages regularly with Government Ministers and policymakers, and undertakes frequent keynote speeches and panels.
On receiving this prestigious award, Ami said: “I’m very grateful to Hospitality Media for recognising my contribution. At Amro we try our best to move the industry forward towards tech adoption and innovation in how we deliver sustainability, but it is deeply humbling to win an award for that work.”
