The vibrant new community located in this historic riverside hub, will comprise 202 co-living units alongside almost 12,000 sq ft of shared amenities including a residents’ lounge, communal kitchens and dining rooms, a wellness centre, co-working spaces and rooftop views.

The project will see a complete overhaul and extension of the existing Greencoat House building, which is targeting to be one of the town’s first Net Zero Carbon buildings, opening in 2023.

There is a substantial and recognised need for new homes within Kingston, with The Rex making a substantial contribution to the London Plan housing target for the borough, set at 9,640 homes between 2019/20 to 2028/29. The innovative co-living model will help meet the needs of younger households, graduates, young professionals and key workers.

Raj Kotecha, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Amro Partners, said: “Our retention and repurpose strategy for The Rex, our flagship co-living development, is driven by our pledge to become a Net Zero Carbon developer by 2030. The project boasts outstanding sustainability credentials due to the embodied carbon reuse, to create an exemplar new co-living community within the gateway to Kingston town centre.”
