Panel discussion will explore the role of global capital in unlocking housing projects.
Amro co-founder and President, Ami Kotecha, is delighted to be joining Investment Minister Baroness Poppy Gustafsson, along with esteemed peers and thought leaders, at the UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) in Leeds next week.
Kicking off the event on Tuesday morning, Ami will join the Minister for an intimate breakfast alongside international investors, developers and key players including Nuveen, Blackrock, JLL, Federated Hermes, Segro and Greystar. Together they will discuss the significance of foreign direct investment into the UK’s residential sector and how international capital can help unlock housing projects across the country.
Later in the day, at 2.00 – 3.00pm in the Bury Theatre, Ami will join Baroness Gustafsson again in a Lendlease-sponsored panel exploring this theme further, bringing in valuable insights from Chair Stephanie McMahon of SMCI and co-panellists Lord Richard Harrington (Author – Government Review into Foreign Direct Investment), Simon Durkin (Blackrock) and Angela Brennan (Lendlease).
An impending decade of national renewal will rely heavily on cultivating varied foreign direct investment and a range of funding solutions. The panel will share their views on the early impact of the government’s growth strategy, planning and pension reform, and the new regional opportunities now presenting themselves. Come along to find out what the UK is getting right, what more needs to be done – and the strategies being deployed by our European neighbours.
Ami will also attend a private dinner on Tuesday evening alongside Chair of the New Towns Taskforce Sir Michael Lyons, Rail Minister Lord Peter Hendy, Naushabah Khan MP and a selection of industry leaders, to discuss how the private sector can support to deliver the next generation of new communities.
