Amro Partners has become a Principal Partner of Croydon Commitment, the charity connecting businesses with the community to support employment, education, social inclusion and wellbeing.
As part of our 3-year pledge, Amro will assist local people into work and support career development through volunteering, mentoring and financial donations.
The programme kicked off earlier this month with a careers talk for Year 7 and 8 students at Coloma Girls’ School in Croydon, followed by a CV and interview workshop.
Delivered by Managing Director, UK Investment, Tom Donnachie, Development Manager Abigail Heraty and Research Analyst Monty Thompson, the talk focused on raising career aspirations in students, including an overview of career pathways here at Amro Partners and an in depth look at roles involved in our Botanical House Build to Rent project in Croydon.
Tom Donnachie, MD, UK Investment at Amro Partners, said: “The whole team is excited to support the outstanding work of Croydon Commitment and help people in the local community into the workplace. The students at Coloma Girls’ School were bright, engaging and would be an asset to any employer. It was a pleasure talking to them about the world of real estate, which is much more about people and community than bricks and mortar.”
Toni Letts OBE, Patron of Croydon Commitment, said: “As part of their social impact pledge, Amro Partners sent three of their amazing team to operate and facilitate workshops with 300 students at Coloma School. The students not only learned, but thoroughly enjoyed the day. We greatly value this support in helping inspire tomorrow’s business leaders.”
