Amro Partners joins UK Green Building Council

May 4th, 2022

As we drive forward our ambition to become a Net Zero Carbon company by 2025, we’re excited to join the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) and add our voice to an inspirational group of real estate industry leaders striving to respond to the climate change emergency.

We look forward to working with the Council and its members to share meaningful insights on sustainability, help shape best practice, collaborate with our peers to find workable solutions to the net zero challenge – and be part of a unified voice to influence national and local policy.

We recently pledged to place sustainability at the centre of every business decision at Amro, not only in the design, construction and operation of new projects and the adoption of decarbonisation technology, but also across the operational management of our business, to reduce our carbon footprint to zero by 31 December 2025.

Ami Kotecha, Co-founder and Head of Venture Investments, said: “Joining the UK Green Building Council is an important step in our journey to Net Zero. Fostering a culture of collaboration and openness within the built environment sector is critical if we are to successfully tackle the many challenges we face in reducing emissions and achieving the Paris Climate Goals.

We look forward to working closely with other stakeholders, particularly in the residential/Build to Rent, decarbonisation, and ESG groups.”
